Alice Schmuckler-Hess performed extensively in Germany before her forced departure from Germany in 1934.
She continued to perform and teach in Palestine and then Israel. Her few appearances with Uzi Wiesel (who was her son-in-law) combined her deep German tradition with the younger energetic character of the Israeli-born musician.
