Israeli Music: performances and manuscripts

Uzi Wiesel devoted a large part of his life (as part of his overall strong bond to Israel) encouraging, commissioning and performing works written by Israeli composers.

His connections with various generations of composers encompasses almost three generations such as Joseph Tal, Paul Ben-Haim and Mordechai Seter as well as composers of his age such as Tzvi Avni and Noam Sheriff, and followed to some of his students such as Gideon Lewinson and Jan Radzynski.

As well as Solo works and concertos, Uzi Wiesel also premiered numerous chamber music works, some with the Tel Aviv String Quartet.
